The textbook discusses the basics of the organization of operational and technological telephone communication (OTS) in railway transport . It describes the principles of organization and functioning of various types of OTS, methods for calculating the quality of transmission over paths, discusses the issues of building digital OTS networks, describes the composition of equipment and technical characteristics of digital systems.: DSS-300, KSM-400, DX-500, Ob-128TS, KS2000R. The organization of the centralized transportation management system and the principles of building a communication network for its operation, as well as the concept of organizing a mobile communication system with a micro-cell structure, are described in detail.
