Mission San Uriel

In 1812, new priest Father Valentino is assigned to Mission Santa Cruz in the viceroy of Alta California. The mission system is touted as an outreach to save souls and teach modern methods to the native people. After arriving, he finds the system has a secret objective: to stop the demonically possessed running rampant in Alta California. Swift Sparrow is the daughter of the Achegowi tribe’s medicine man. Though it seems she shares his psychic gifts, a daughter can never follow in her father’s footsteps. In addition, being born with a club foot leads many in the tribe to believe she was cursed from birth. Demonically possessed Black Raven rises to lead a band of savage Thantakowi warriors against the Spanish and the native tribes of Alta California. Father Valentino and Swift Sparrow must combine the knowledge and skills of their two cultures to stop the killing.
