When I was younger, I had this stupid fantasy that somewhere out there, I secretly had a long-lost relative. Someone better than my real family. Someone who would find me someday, notice me, maybe even love me for real… But then I grew up and stopped dreaming of impossible things. Until one day, that impossible fantasy actually came true. I've never been sure why I'm such a disappointment to my father, but since my mother passed when I was born, he's all the family I have, so of course I've always dreamed of being able to finally make him love me. Or if not him, at least someone. Because another dream I've always had? Well, more like a fantasy, really. It's that somewhere out there, I secretly have more family. Better family than just Father. A long-lost relative who would find me someday, notice me, maybe even love me for real… But then I grew up and realized that fantasies like that hurt more than they help. That they make me feel even more lonely. So I stopped dreaming of impossible things. Until one day, that impossible fantasy actually came true.
