We have dealt with the structures of the Augustan complex on the Palatine and the identifiable phases, connecting the various sectors chronologically, spatially and with the texts from the primary sources. Particular attention has been paid to the areas of contact between the Temple of Apollo and the previous structures (house of Octavian, "interrupted house", house of Livia) and the components that spatially integrated the area on which the temple stood, such as the porticus Danaidum with its powerful system of substruction and counter-thrust, the adjoining entrance arch, the temple of Vesta and the pavilion palace of Augustus. Finally, we present a reconstruction of the portal of the temple based on the surviving jamb.
