This is the first of series of publications of classic studies and papers exploring therapeutic hypnosis. Milton H. Erickson, MD (1901-1980) is considered to be among the greatest hypnotherapists of modern times. Ernest L. Rossi, PhD (1933-2020), a student-colleague, worked with Erickson in the final decade of his life documenting deeper understandings of entering into the trance state. Rossi then goes on to explain Erickson's pioneering discoveries about the nature of the unconscious in the context of modern neuroscience. This series is appropriate for professionals as well as anyone who is deeply interested in the nature of hypnosis and the unconscious mind.
