Milton H. Erickson, MD (1901-1980) is considered to be among the greatest hypnotherapists of modern times. Ernest L. Rossi, PhD (1933-2020), a student-colleague, worked with Erickson in the final decade of his life documenting deeper understandings of entering into the trance state. Continuing with the groundwork introduced in earlier volumes in this collection this volume contains a transcript and annotated discussion of the ways that hypnosis affects activity dependent gene expression. The volume also includes a series of historic professional papers that address the use of therapeutic hypnosis for a spectrum of medical conditions.
