From Preface
This monograph began as the author’s doctoral thesis at Princeton University and concerns the remarkable developments in spectral and scattering theory for the Schrodinger operators initiated by the papers of Volker Enss. Enss proves asymptotic completeness for two-body and two-cluster scattering described by the Schrodinger equation: his approach to these scattering problems emphasizes the behavior of scattering solutions in space and time and relies on physically motivated estimates and proofs. His approach has been refined by many authors and applied to a wide variety of scattering problems, both within and beyond quantum mechanics...
