An ear collapsing crack shook the building and ground beneath throwing everyone off balance. Clair shouted EARTHQUAKE!, removing her glasses, shoving them in the case like Cooper instructed earlier. Pike's eyes scrunched following how the air was bending in front of his glasses. Sharp peaks blipped with calmer lines following. It reminded him of the still pond out back of his Uncle's house. He would sit there for hours tossing pebbles watching the rings from the water ripple outward.Clair brought her hand covering one ear then hunched her head to the side covering the other with her shoulder. The sound ricocheted the walls. She pulled 49 toward the truck and shouted for Pike while gripping the new jumpsuit to her body as 49 followed. All of them scrambled to make it under the semi. Cooper slid under as all eyes watched upward to see if the roof was caving in.They waited, all crouched beneath the solid frame of the semi's trailer. Pike's jumpsuit tucked across his quadriceps, glasses still on his face with his fingers touching the pavement, he felt the vibrations. "Do you guys feel that?" All heads turned to stare at Pike."Feel what?" demanded Clair."There's that hum again?""What hum?" Clair glanced down and touched the pavement herself. Nothing. "I don't feel it?"Cooper disbelievingly shook his head to match his words. "No. No. No. No. We have… dammit" He stabbed his finger-pointing, "That door." His eyes searched in all directions. He ordered. "Run!"
