The object of this thesis is to present the first com plete edition of Renaut de Louhans’ verse translation of the Consolatio Philosophiae of Boethius. The work is presented in two volumes. Volume one consists of four chapters and an appendix which forms part of chapter two. Volume two contains five chapters w hich are followed by a bibliography and a short appendix. This edition concludes with a bibliography and an appendix which presents photographic reproductions of the miniatures found in our base manuscript.
