Статья // In: Selected Writings on Chariots and Other Early Vehicles, Riding and Harness. — BRILL, 2002. — Pp. 53-61.There is no convincing evidence that chariots in late bronze age Greece ever played an active role in battle, with warriors fighting from them, as they did in Egypt and the Near East. On the other hand, there is no evidence that chariots were not used as military conveyances for warriors armed with spears and swords and/or daggers, who fought on foot in hand-to-hand combat.
