Mian is an endangered non-Austronesian ('Papuan') language of the Ok family spoken in the Highlands fringe in western Papua New Guinea by approximately 1,400 speakers. This grammar is the first comprehensive description of the language with detailed analysis of tone, gender and clause chaining. The analysis is based on primary field data recorded by the author. The book contains a collection of fully glossed and translated texts and a word list. Winner of the 2013 ALT Gabelentz Award
